Doctors

Dr Ameer Aldabbagh

MB. ChB. DFFP. MRCGP. PCME. PGCertME. Registered 1998 
Dr Ameer Aldabbagh has been at Springfield Surgery since 2005.  Dr Ameer Aldabbagh is passionate about education and is involved in the training of medical students form the University of Manchester and GPs in their final years of training within the practice.  Dr Ameer Aldabbagh has an interest in General Medicine, Palliative Care and carries out Minor Surgery including joint injections at the practice.

Dr Elizabeth George

MB. ChB. MRCGP. Registered 2000
Dr Elizabeth George qualified from Leeds University Medical School in July 2000. She went on to work in various fields, including cardiology, acute medicine, intensive care and elderly care around Yorkshire before joining a GP training scheme, which she completed in 2006 and subsequently gained her postgraduate examination to become a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners. Dr George is a dedicated member of Springfield Surgery team and enjoys the challenges and fulfilment that General Practice brings.

Dr Victoria Walton

MRCGP DFSRH DRCOG MBChB
Dr Victoria Walton studied Medicine at the University of Leeds and graduated from medical school in 2000. She completed hospital training and GP training in the West Midlands where she worked as a GP until 2011, when my family and I relocated to the Stockport area. I have worked as a salaried GP in Stockport since 2012 and joined Springfield Surgery as a part-time salaried GP in 2015.
I have an interest in medical education and work as a clinical tutor at Manchester Medical School teaching medical students one day a week.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and long walks with our Cockapoo who keeps us all busy!

Dr Sarah Edenbrow

MBCHB
Dr Sarah Edenbrow has worked as a part time GP at Springfield Surgery for around 10 years. She has a special interest in elderly medicine and currently manages the local residential home Shepley House.
In her spare time she enjoys meeting friends, walking with her small dog and playing different kinds of music. 
 

Dr Laura Summersell

MBchB MRCGP
Dr Laura Summersell graduated from the University of Manchester in 2015. She completed her foundation training in Preston including rotations in cardiology, orthopaedics, paediatrics and general surgery. She then spent a year working at Royal Manchester Children’s hospital before deciding to pursue a career as a GP. She completed her GP training in Stockport, including spending her registrar year at Springfield Surgery.

Dr Eleanor Deacon

MBCHB, BA (Hons), MRCGP
Dr Eleanor Deacon graduated from Leeds University in 2011 with degrees in Medicine and Biomedical Ethics. She came back to the North West to start her GP training in 2014. She was a GP trainee at Springfield Surgery and now work as a Salaried GP on Wednesdays and Fridays.  Outside of work, Dr Deacon is kept busy with her three young children!

Sharon has been a part of the team here at Springfield Surgery for many years. She has worked in General Practice for a number of years and her experience and enthusiasm is vital in the continuing development and running of the Surgery.
